For the second winter in a row, the JBJ Soul Foundation has offered a blanket donation campaign online. We have blankets for sale, donation, or you could buy one/donate one. Once the blankets are donated, they are shipped to the Foundation office where we contact our community partners involved in homeless outreach programs to see who is in need of extra blankets for those they serve. This winter, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we were able to send blankets to the outreach programs of three of our partners: Project H.O.M.E.’s “Hub of Hope”, Joseph’s House, and Covenant House’s new outreach program in Camden, NJ.
SparkAction and Youth Leadership Institute Launch Social Media Competition for Youth-Led Solutions to Connect More Young People to Jobs and Economic Opportunity
April 12, 2012– Musician and member of the youth-focused White House Council for Community Solutions Jon Bon Jovi today joined SparkAction and the Youth Leadership Institute to launch the SparkOpportunity Challenge, an innovative “crowdsourcing” competition for young people to share their ideas on how to create local jobs and opportunities for youth. Winners will receive prizes and tools to get their ideas off the ground.
