From day one, ownership's intention was to ensure that this team was different from other sports franchises.

Inherent in the goals for success in Philadelphia was ownership's determination to have this football team (everyone: the owners, players and all associates) focus not only on the game being played on the field but also on the good the organization could do within the greater Philadelphia community in which they were to play and live. The goal? WINNERS BOTH ON THE FIELD AND OFF.
