Mr. Spencer, President and CEO of The Arden Group, directs all activities of the corporation and related entities.
The Arden Group was founded in 1989 and along with its related affiliates specializes in the acquisition, development, leasing and management of real estate assets. Real estate property types include luxury Hotels & Resorts, luxury condominiums and Class A office properties.
The Arden Group has developed a very successful track record since its founding and in doing so has purchased and/or developed approximately $1.5 Billion of real estate. Properties include numerous luxury hotels and resorts, luxury condominiums, over 4,500 acres of residential and commercial land and more than 4 million square feet of office space. Marquee projects include the development of The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia, the development of the adjacent Residences at The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia. Participation in the Partnerships which developed the Ritz-Carlton Resort at Bachelor Gulch (Vail, CO) and redeveloped the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua and the development of the 1,500-acre Indian Springs Ranch luxury resort in Jackson, Wyoming.
Mr. Spencer has participated in several non Real Estate ventures including the sale of Admiralty Bank to Royal Bank of Canada in February 2003. Over a 4-year period, Mr. Spencer along with the Board grew the bank from $45 Million to $700 Million in assets when the bank was sold. Mr. Spencer is also a founding board member of Anchor Commercial Bank based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and is a Co-Owner of the Philadelphia Soul - Arena Football Team.
Mr. Spencer is a licensed attorney who specialized in real estate, banking and bankruptcy law. He graduated from The University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, and from Georgia State University College of Law with a Juris Doctorate Degree.
Mr. Spencer is married and has four children.
