    On Friday, August 21, 2015, NJ Soul of Hunger held a press event to launch an art exhibit at the Noyes Arts Garage in Atlantic City. The exhibit, “NJ Soul of Hunger: The Atlantic City Story” featured compelling photographs from eight Atlantic County residents, some who were former casino employees but all whose lives have been effected by the recent surge in casino closures.

    This past Saturday, April 25th, Jon Bon Jovi was honored for his lifetime accomplishments at the 36th Annual Common Wealth Awards ceremony in Wilmington, Delaware. The awards recognized individuals who have enriched modern culture through their professional and personal endeavors.

    The 2015 Common Wealth Award recipients were:
    Jon Bon Jovi, lead singer of Grammy Award-winning rock band and humanitarian, for Public Service;
    Edward Norton, award-winning actor, screenwriter, director, producer and philanthropist, for Public Service;
    Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia, for Mass Communications.

    WALL, NJ – With hardhats and shovels, Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno, 180 Turning Lives Around, Inc. Executive Director Anna Diaz-White, elected officials and major donors ceremoniously broke ground on 180’s new safe house, the largest shelter for victims of domestic violence in the State of New Jersey. The event was hosted at the headquarters of New Jersey Natural Gas, one of the shelter’s major donors. In addition, other major donors, including the Verizon Foundation/HopeLine, the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, and the Faith and James Knight Foundation, each contributed $100,000 toward the completion of the shelter.

(FEBRUARY 24, 2015) – The JBJ Soul Kitchen Community Restaurant, a program of the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, is pleased to announce its sponsorship of Spoon Full of Hope, a non-profit community restaurant and outreach program of Gateway Church of Christ. The “JBJ Soul Kitchen Sponsors Spoon Full of Hope” pop-up location began serving meals in Union Beach at Union Hose Fire Co. #1 in January. Dinner is served on Wednesdays with seating at 5, 6, and 7 p.m.

    Jon Bon Jovi, founder and front man for the iconic band Bon Jovi and Chairman of the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, accepted the 2014 Marian Anderson Award last evening during a gala dinner and concert at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. The singer, songwriter, actor, and producer, known for his philanthropy, has a long history of civic and humanitarian outreach.
