New Note from Jon Bon Jovi

01/11/12

Greetings to all. Happy 2012! I hope everyone had a fine holiday and that you're all ready for what we hope will be an exciting 2012.

In 2012, I look forward to the Soul Kitchen helping those who in these difficult financial times need help from their neighbors. Remember, a helping hand up is not a hand out. Empowering your neighbor is not entitling them. You'd be surprised how many people today are either in need or on the verge of economic assistance. WE have the power to make a difference. Find something or someone that moves you... you can make a difference and I promise it will make you and that neighbor in need feel something magical. Don't fall into the negative. Don't assume the press or those in the media know better or know more. Follow YOU. Partisanship, is just ignorance in disguise.

OK, enough of my thoughts. It's time to go to work.

See you round... JBJ

U r an inspiration to millions of people around the world, especially in Egypt. Therefore, it would be an honor for our university (American University in Cairo), to ask of you to attend an event and concert in its campus. I would like to give you more details, but unfortunately i do not have your email address. Nour El Din Mansour

Jon, Thank you for being such an inspiration to so many. If more people in this world could be like you, there would be no homeless, starving people. God bless you and Dorothea, you are angels. Love, Teri Starbuck in Oregon

If every single person did one nice thing for one other person, the world would be a better place to live. It's so much more than giving money. It can be as simple as giving a small amount of time, or hugging a stranger in need. I've certainly done that and later found out that before I hugged the person, they had been considering taking their own life. Everybody wins when you give of yourself. Let's all give something.

Hi! I just recently joined up and started researching how I can help out the JBJ Soul Foundation. I wasnt sure what was all available until I saw that I can help here in my home state of Michigan. I think that it is so wonderful that I can help here in Michigan. I love working on Habit for Humanity projects. For many years, I lend a helping hand for HforH and just love the experience. Thank you JBJ Soul for providing another way for me to give back to the community! ~~ Kerry

I've loved Jon since 1984. He saved my life in 2005. Was abused for 25 yrs, died,Jon was there in the tunnel taking my hand, singing epic songs to me, led me back to life. My dream is to tell him how he effected my life in person. I need to sit down and talk to him. I admire his philanthropy, all of his other layers. I was robbed of everything back in '05 so it's all I can do to just get by. I want to volunteer in the Soul Kitchen& donate money, I want to go to a concert! Everytime I start to save up a little towards that, I see someone with no food, so I buy them groceries or a warm coat, so then back to 0. I should write a book about what I've endured and survived. Well I have the faith

thank you Jon for your inspiring words. the Soul Kitchen has really helped out a lot of people in need, i noticed from volunteering there. it's made me realize how much help others really need, and how the Soul Kitchen has made a difference in their lives. i met a woman recently volunteering; she told me how hard it is for her to feed her family and how she can never eat herself. she came to the kitchen, worked, and then finally got a great meal. she was very happy to have come and now she can feed her family. the Soul Kitchen is wonderful and is helping others in so many ways
