Little Silver, NJ – Red Bank Regional’s culinary arts students were delighted to share their skills and service for The Soul Kitchen, in Red Bank, this past holiday season. The students took a field trip from their usual high school culinary class to dice and chop under the direction of Executive Chef Zeet Peabody. The Soul Kitchen serves up home-style three course meals every Thursday, Friday and Saturday in this community kitchen. Many of RBR’s students are from the Red Bank area, where the Soul Kitchen is located.
We are blessed to have so many supporters from around the world supporting our work – from the young child who sends his allowance money to the large corporation practicing socially responsible neighboring – and we are profoundly grateful. Many times that support comes not just in the form of monetary contributions (although that is wonderful and much needed) but in the encouraging words we hear as we travel the country and get to meet and spend time with the individuals and families to whom we provide a hand up.
This holiday season the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation and the JBJ Soul Kitchen would like to thank you for your support and generosity. Your support makes our work possible and we thank you for being our partner.
Jon Bon Jovi accepted the “Small Things, Great Love” award at the Heart of Camden Gala on behalf of the JBJ Soul Foundation this evening. The JBJ Soul Foundation is honored to have been given this award in recognition of the work that we have done and continue to do with our community partners in Camden, NJ.
